Won't Recognise Username and/or Password... (3 posts)

    Hi all

I have had a site developed on a test server by a colleague. I have had full access to the site and can access the admin panels.

The site is built using Ultimatum and we have had a problem with the Move and Migrate so we started to try to use Duplicator.

The problem is that I have not been able to contact my colleague, and although concerned about his welfare, this leaves me with a problem...

I have installed all the files into their new location and to resave the permalinks I need to log into the administrators account - this is the problem...

I add the username and password for the admin account and it shakes it's head and says the username or password is incorrect!

I have gone into the php admin on the server and checked the username and password - copied and pasted, yet it still shakes it's head.

It allows me to set a password reset to my colleagues email account, but of course, I cannot contact him...

Any help would be appreciated as the website was supposed to be online a couple of days ago and it's getting a bit embarassing as you can imagine...

    Many thanks

Here's a number of ways to reset the password:

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my query... however if you read my question you will note that I say I have all the admin access.

I have checked the username and changed the password.

The login still shakes it's head as if it is looking for another loging name and password.
