Won't let me access my local site (2 posts)

When trying to figure out how to make my local site live, I entered my site (http://onegirlstasteonlife.com) as my Site URL and my Home URL. The only problem is I am currently blogging at http://onegirlstasteonlife.com. Therefore, any time I try to update my local site, it redirects me to my already live site. I can't figure out how to get back to my local site to make any changes whatsoever. Every time I try to get to the localhost, it kicks me back to the .com site.

I have no idea what I'm doing so any instruction needs to be in serious layman's terms. Sorry if this question has been asked a million times. Maybe I have no business playing around with a "fancy" version of WordPress...

    Seriously frustrating.

When you are starting off like that, you need to use the domain that the site is going to be developed on, not the final URL that you will be using it on.

You need to change the URl to localhost instead of your .com domain name. Then when you've finished your editing and changes you can chagne it back when you put the site live.
