• What on earth is going on? I uninstalled wordpress. I cleared the cache. I reinstalled wordpress, I deleted old database. I recreated database. I made the change in config.php. I did the
http://shesonaughty.com/wp-admin/install.php. that went well. I filled out relevant info. I was assigned a username and password. Then, guess what? The password was rejected.

I’m ready to switch to some other blog. Who’s got time for this crap?

You mistyped it. Or, if you copy and pasted it, then you also copied a space at the end or something to that effect.

None of the above. I downloaded the emergency.php and that fixed that issue.

Believe me, I had even taken a screenshot just to make sure i hadn’t written something downn incorrectly.

Thank goodness there are third party folks that can fix your goof-ups.

First off, I don’t know who the “your” here is referring to.

Second off, there’s no goof up here. I was not asking what you had done, I was telling you what you had done. This is not up for debate, you mistyped or miscopied the password. Period. Sorry to be so blunt about it, but I do WP installs on a daily basis, and the initial password functionality works fine every time. I have accidentally copied the spaces from time to time myself too.
