As others have pointed out, this wonderful little plugin didn’t survive the upgrade to WP 3.8. Honestly, looking at the new interface, I don’t see how the plugin can display the old “Create Child Theme” link as it used to. The Theme interface is pretty different…and not necessarily in a good way.

At this point, I’m wondering whether anyone is even trying to fix the plugin — or whether it’s time to move on and try something new.

    Thanks.

Just bumped the new version to add compatibility with 3.8.

Thanks for your patience, and sorry it took so long to get it out!

Websiteguy, thanks for the suggestion. I will take a look at the plugin for future reference.

John, THANK YOU for the new version. I just tried it on a site, and it created the new theme. I did notice one small hiccup, though. Once I entered the name of the new child theme, the confirmation page that said “Your child theme was created successfully” also included the prompt and “Let’s go” button from previous screen. So, a bit confusing….

I just left the confirmation page and went on to verify that the new child theme was created, which is was 🙂
