With v1.1 of the twitter api, will Jetpack drop the twitter widget?

    I am curious about the future of the Jetpack twitter widget now that twitter has almost ended version 1 of their API and have moved to an authenticated only API with version 1.1. Will Jetpack offer single-user oauth support (such as is described here) or another form of twitter integration with Jetpack still?

    Sorry if this has already been asked here (I searched but didn’t find an existing question).

    We’re planning on making improvements to the Twitter widget in the next few months, based on the API changes that should be introduced in April.

    Until then, the existing twitter widget should work properly. If you run into issues do not hesitate to let us know here!
