Hi, I am using a windows home server and have installed PHP and MySQL (both seems to be working fine).

The WP install hangs after prompting for Blog title an email. I can see that tables are created in the schema I have created for the purpose.

Has anyone got WP running on Windows Home Server?

Any Ideas where to look for errormessages? Can't figure out why the install hangs.

Hi, I think you should just try to write an wp-config.php file (with something like notepad) and put it in wordpress directory by ftp. There is an exemple of this file named wp-config-sample.php.

I have done a wp-config.php file from wp-config-sample.php file, and enterede my database info.

And since the wp_ tables are created in the schema, I belive that the connection to the database is not the problem.

You think that it has soething to do with some codepage issue, since you advise me to FTP it to the server?

I have no FTP acess to the server but uses UNC paths (e.g. \\server\homepage\test)

If you don't see a file named wp-config.php on your home server :
    just do it !
Do it by all means necessary if the install script fail, use FTP or all ways to access you wordpress path on the server.
