   can someone tell me a good and easy app for editing php / theme / html files on my computer? i used microsoft frontpage a few years ago but didnt like it that much.

   I edit most of the time inside wp-admin but if not then I use notepad.

   If you are looking for a program that kind of helps you design then Dreamweaver is probably the most popular choice.

   I would stick with a simple text editor. Notepad is fine, but something like Notepad++ adds syntax highlighting, and is what I use when in Windows.
