• I use WordPress 2.7 for my company blog and articles. I’m planning to upgrade to 2.8 – so my question is if upgrading to 2.8 will in anyway mess with my existing database and other stuff?? Also the images I’ve used should not give broken links and stuff like that. I’m sorry for asking such a question which may be considered dumb for you but the guy who worked towards handling all this just left and I need help.

    Thank you.

  • I have a blog site http://www.charlievodka.com and upgraded last week. I have not been able to save any new blogs. The titles save but not the content. I haven’t seen anyone else with this problem but it is what I noticed

To answer the OP there’s no reason why upgrading would break your blog. Most of the issues with 2.8 have been with incompatible plugins or themese. If you backup your database first you can always go back to it if there are any issues.

Also disable your plugins before the upgrade, then re-enable them afterwards.

The only outstanding bug that I know of being introduced with 2.8.2 is the missing author URLs after editing comments bug.
