I was just wondering the point of having this plugin is to avoid same person from clicking more than 1 or twice than they should.

Let say I set the limit to 2 clicks, and then I saw from the logs that many or maybe hundreds and thousand actually did click twice. Won’t google/Adsense saw this and think it’s weird that there are many who clicked twice from this particular site?

Doesn’t that makes us more susceptible to being banned by them? Did you as developer went and ask people from Google if this plugin will help or the opposite?

Sorry my English is bad. I hope you understand what I’m trying to say. I’m a user of your plugin and I’m scared of seeing hundred people double click on my ads, as if I was Google I’d be more suspicious of my website.

    Good morning,

i dont get the point why it should make you more suspicious. The opposite is the case because you reduce invalid and multiplied clicks. From a logical viewpoint its very easy: You get into the focus of Google when your CTR is too high or/and when people are clicking on your ads but they are immediately closing the ad-opened website and do not show interest for the ad they clicked on. I notified google developer about my plugin and i also have some friends who tried to show my plugin to Google devs but for the momenent there is no official statement by google. No ACK and no NAK. I programmed the plugin with the best ethic thoughts to be Google TOS complied. If Google tell me that there is anything against their TOS i will change my plugin immediately. The plugin has been written in a manner to protect the webmaster as well as google.

Because the max clicks is 2 .
Let say there are 1k clicks, half of it, around 500 people click your ads twice

to me that looks like a pre-planned clicks.
That is why I asked if you had conformation that this doesn’t trigger more wrath from big bad Google

The total commulated click count is measured within a default timeframe of 7 days. You can change that timeframe. As 99% of your visitors are using dynamic ip adresses the IP address and corresponding unique visitor is changed in most cases. Every few days you should delete all blocked visitors and the dynamic ip adresses get free and the script is able to continue the job. The total clickcounts for a unique visitor will never be constant. There are too many factors. 2 clicks within 7 days for a same IP is in fact unlikely except there is someone who really “likes” to click on your ads. Imagine yourself: How often are you clicking on ads? Now think about how often you are clicking on ads on the same page.
