Hi everyone! must say first great software and a great forum so I hope I can get a good answer from you guys!.
I am about to build a site for a company here in sweden but I am worried that some advertising may appear on my site from google or wordpress without my permission?
I will not host the website with wordpress so should I be worried?
thanks in advance guys
newbie first poster!!
I don't fully understand...
First, if you have full control of your site then only those ads you physically place on it should be of concern to you. Google, and most especially WordPress, would have no way of adding ads.
Second, if you are not using WordPress on your site (noted in your third line above), why are you asking your question here?

Hi sorry mass confusion there.
I plan to build the site with wordpress then host it on my own domain.
I just got the wrong idea that if you used wordpress software to build your site and not ie, dreamwever they would somehow be able to link adds to your site?.
my bad sorry and thanks for your quick reply!
The only time you need worry about ads and WordPress in this situation is when it comes to third-party themes. Some of these (very much in the minority, but they exist) will sport ads or linkbacks. But these can easily be edited out -- except in extreme cases where a theme's license might demand they be left in.
