I'm trying to redesign my site and trying different themes, and with some I can see the ghosting of other text--like a double exposure--below the text you're supposed to see. I know what it is. It's my categories, which at some point I thought I'd try putting on the navigation menu. Now they're showing up in templates that don't have space for them in that ghostly way, but I'm a coding idiot and I can't for the life of me find the place on the blog where I made this change or remember if it was done via a plug-in or a WP feature or (God Forbid) with one of the earlier themes I was using.
Please help!

Sorry but I do find it really hard to believe that your categories are haunting your themes. But, if you could give me a link to a page that shows this effect, I'll do my best to come up with an explanation... and maybe even a solution.

Oh, my goodness. I never knew anyone had responded! (I can't figure out how to set up en email link to a thread.)
Here's my link. http://www.cityofsmoke.com.
It code located inside the navigation div--probably from some forgotten and mispalced plugin or widget--and I've found and edited it, but it always comes back. If that's not haunting, I don't know what is! Thank you so much for responding!!! (And please forgive me for double posting. I didn't see this until I posted about this again a moment ago.)
