Width of Edit pages not matching actual site (3 posts)

When I go into the admin section to "edit" posts, the way it looks in the edit box is different from the way it looks in the actual site. I think this is because the width of the edit box is different than the width of the column on the actual site.

Two ways to ask the same question:

    - Is there anyway to change the width of the edit box to reflect the actual size of the place where the content will be on the site?

    - Is there anyway to make the edit box reflect the actual look of the published version

No and no. This is a matter of separation of presentation vs. content here.

You're not designing how the thing LOOKS in the editor. The blog will take care of that for you, by plugging it into your theme and making it fit with everything else in the theme.

Instead,, all you're putting in the editor is the content itself. The raw text, the pictures, maybe a slight bit of formatting for headers and moving pictures to the side and such. The actual theme then makes that into one cohesive site. Otherwise, every post would look different and funky. Especially if you had more than one author.

WordPress is not like Microsoft Word. You're not writing a formatted document here. You're writing a plain text document that will get automatically formatted correctly.
