• Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. I have looked.

My blog looks exactly as I want it on Windows. I maintain it on Windows. When I view it via an iPad, the widgets for ‘recent posts’ ‘categories’ etc do not show. Would someone be kind enough to at least point me at how to fix this – I would really appreciate it.

    Many thanks

  • Without seeing the site, that’s pretty much impossible.

    Hi WPyogi

    Thanks for your reply.

I’m not asking for a fix, just pointing at what might be causing it. I don’t do anything fancy. It’s a box-standard installation with no modifications. I use the ‘recent post’ widget, it appears on rhs of screen, it’s fine on windows, when I look at it on ipad it doesn’t appear.

For example: Is there some sort of config setting which will make it fit on an ipad? Given the site is very basic i would think almost everyone would have this problem. Could it be due to screen width? I don’t know where to start looking. I am just after a pointer.

Why might a standard widget work on windows, and not on the ipad?

Is your theme coded to be responsive or does it use @media queries for smaller devices? Perhaps there is a CSS problem which is making the sidebar disappear.

Does it display okay in other full size browsers?

    Have you validated for errors?

Thanks WPyogi. I will look into the suggestions you have made and feed back. As an aside, yes it works perfectly on Chrome and IE on windows 7.
