   I try to use widgets in the sidebar, but it is not showing at all. I drag and drop them in the area with "Sidebar 1", configue and save the changes, but when I browser the website, it is nothing showing up in the sidebar, not even a word. I try it with different widget, no luck at all. Please help!!!

   Have you tried using the default theme and see what happens there? It sounds like something is going on with the theme that you are using.

   How can I test it on the default theme, I Do use my customized theme. Please advise.

   Go to Appearance->Themes and change to Twenty Ten if you are using WordPress 3.0. or Kubrik if you are using a different version.

   Can I test this on my live server? If I switch it to Twenty Ten, is it going to change my website looking? How can I do it without affecting the looking of my live website.
