    Hello, I have been using WP for a while now and this is the first time I am having a problem hard to solve by my self. Excuse me for my first post being a problem and asking for help.

    URL: http://socialmediatools.nl
    WP version: 3.1.2
    Theme: Yashfa

    Problem: the widgets, on the right side of the page, do not show op on the home page. They do show op on other pages.

    You may have a different widget area that controls front page widgets (for flexibility). Try looking on your admin widgets.php page and look for extra widget areas to add widgets too.

    Failing this you need to take a look at the theme code and see what it has in there for the home page sidebar.

    Update: I just installed the theme and it has just the one sidebar for all pages it seems. It is showing up on my local install on ALL pages including the home page.

    Have you altered any code in any template file (i.e. the home page template). There must be some customisation you have done to stop the sidebar from showing on the front page?

    Thanks for your quick reply, David.

    To my knowledge, I do not have a different widget area for front page widgets.

    My widgets.php page shows:

    <?php
    include(TEMPLATEPATH.'/includes/widgets/cat-dropdown.php');
    ?>

    Thanks again, David.

    I am not experienced with code, I have only changed the footer text and installed plugins.

    Try deactivating all your Plugins temporarily and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't, leave them deactivated and them delete the theme, and reinstall it.

    Then go to your widgets page and drag the widgets you defined that are in the inactive widgets section back into your widget areas.

    Hopefully you should have the sidebar back on the front page. You can then add your Plugins back one by one to make sure they are not causing a conflict.

    Yes, that sounds like a fool-proof way to fix this. I will do this and post here soon when I have news. Thanks!

    I have just changed the theme to the standard Twenty Ten theme - this also does not show the sidebar on the right on the homepage. It does show them on other pages.

    *update: re-installed the Yashfa theme, but still no sidebar on the home page, unfortunately.
