• Dear community,

I’m currently trying to add widgets to my pages. I have found several plugins that allow me to do this – and they work – but I have the following problem:

I have one widget that I want to place on multiple pages. On every page, the widget should display different content (it shows the most recent posts from a certain category // “mh_custom_posts”). The problem is that all plugins I have for displaying widgets on a page, allow me to link to a single instance of the widget, so it would display the same content on every page I place the widget.

What I need is: A widget / plugin that allows me to have the same widget on prety much every page, but displaying content from a different category on every assigned page.

Is there anyhow I can make this work?

    Thank you in advance,

    Al

    Hi esmi, et al.,

Thanks for your input. The problem is that I have a single widget, which can display the latest posts from categories (in excerpt form), but I have no means of placing it on a page while displaying content different from the same widget on another page.

    We’re talking about http://www.thepolymath.net

For example: The homepage DOES have multiple of the same widget, displaying different content, because I can edit the homepage in Appearance > Widgets.

What I cannot, on the other hand, is edit other pages like I edit the homepage. I somehow have to put in the code of a widget (I tried this with “amr shortcode any widget”, and then have it display different content from the same widget on another page.

For reference: The “Health” page should display the latest posts from all the “Health” categories (incl. “Health”, perhaps), whereas the “Fitness” subcategory to “Health” should only display the latest “Fitness” posts, and so on.

I hope this makes sense, and that there is a doable way around it. Because sadly, I don’t understand how I can use “Widget Logic” to do this.

    All help is welcome!
