Widgets and sidebars (3 posts)

Hi All. Wow, it seems like I'm only here when I have a problem.

I'm having a problem with my sidebars and widgets. The widgets work fine when they're added, but they tend to overlap over the original sidebar. For example, my right sidebar contains categories as a default but if I add the 'categories' widget, my theme will display two sets of categories, one after the other.

The sidebar.php file is useless since it only provides the code for my left sidebar and I want to change things on my right sidebar.

Even when the widget list shows no widgets, categories and blogroll continue to display. I just wanted to change the order of these.

    Hope someone can help, thanks.

Then it must be in another template file. Look for it.

Also, whatever is OUTSIDE of the
    "if dynamic sidebar
    ...
    endif"
portion of your sidebar code - will always show up. Whatever is inside of that code will always be replaced by the widgets in use.

    Thanks Moshu...

I'm still looking for the rest of the code...still can't find it.

In the sidebar.php file, there's nothing about dynamic sidebars...
