   I want to have a front page that has two widgets and/or plugins side by side, at the top, and then have the recent blog posts below that. Does anyone know how I would do this?

   Basically I want to have "Recent Forum Posts" and a Youtube video at the top, and then a blog layout of my most recent posts below that, on the front page.

   Any suggestions or guidance are appreciated.

   You'd need to widgetize your home page template.
