Widget.php error in 2.2.1 version – Please help!

Hello – I am having a problem with WordPress version 2.2.1 I understand that the widget.php comes automatically with the installation and it works fine. The only problem happens when I add a text box with the Adsense code I get from Google Adsense’s page. It gives the following error message:
Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/indison8/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 531

Is there a special way to include adsense code (or any other script) in this new version?
If I write only text in a text box it doesn’t give error…
I would appreciate any help you can provide.
