I enjoy being able to use the widgetized home page, but I would also like to include the "normal" home page as another page reachable through the drop down menu. How do I do this?

Have you tried simply creating a top level page using the default template?
Is not possible with current Chameleon version. Simply forgot to include the proper way to create a page for the blog.
I submited a feature request http://tracker.alkivia.org/view.php?id=222 and will be available on next version.
I solved this. Follow this instructions to test it:
1. Go to http://tracker.alkivia.org/view.php?id=222 and download the two attached files (home.php and front-page.php)
2. Replace this files on your theme (via FTP).
3. Set your theme as widgetized home.
4. Go to Pages, create a new page titled 'Home' and select the 'Widgetized Home' template. Don't set content on this page.
5. Create a new page named 'Blog' and leave it blank.
6. Go to Settings->Reading and set 'Frontpage displays a page'
7. Select 'Home' as front page, and 'Blog' as posts page.
This should work as it works for me ;) When releasing next version, this will be included.
That's great. Thanks.
