Hi, I am trying to remove the Meta widget from my sidebar. It doesn't show as being added in the sidebar under Appearance > Widgets. However, it shows up when the site displays. I was wondering how to remove this if it does not show up as being added under widgets?

It might actually be a part of your sidebar template. Go to Appearance/Editor in your admin panel and look through the Sidebar template for anything like that.

Posted 1 year ago #Having same issue. I am unfamiliar with editing templates. Can you be more specific on what I should do to eliminate the archives and Meta and search boxes that appear on this page?

The theme is 2010 weaver. I am so new at this, I did the tutorials and all. It would seem to me that this would simply be a widget that I can remove. But I can't find it in widgets.
