[resolved] Widget widths in sidebar inconsistent in ie 8 (4 posts)

I'm in charge of supporting a club website at http://www.gatorbackcourtclub.com

I've searched these forums and googled the issue but haven't found a solution to my specific problem.

The issue I'm having is the display of the widgets in the right sidebar in ie 8. The site looks great in firefox, chrome, etc. For those of you that might not have ie 8, the problem is that the widgets appear as different widths instead of the same width. They don't align on the right side side. Instead some are wider than others.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem are very welcome.

    Thanks,
    Lisa

Did you actualy measured the width of the right col from a snapshot? Maybe it just moves and there is another element interfering.

You can use a trick used for ie6 compatibility issues. In the styles.css of your theme for #sidebar at line 197 add _width: 300px; under the width:300px;. The _ selector was used for ie6 because he was the only one who worked out css rule with _ in front, and all the other browsers excluded the rule.

Thank you! Actually, it wasn't the width but the overflow:hidden that solved it in the same sidebar CSS. I removed it and now it looks beautiful. I can't see that I've messed anything up.

    Thanks again.
