Hi,

Good Plugin but I have ran into an issue in the widget section.

Currently there are 4 default widgets came with the plugin: Featured Listings, Latest Listings, Random Listings and Search.

I require a widget that shows only a specific category of listings.

Currently I have three categories in my directory, Sports, Music and Charity.

I have 3 pages in my wordpress site, a sports page, a music page and a charity page.

What I want is to show only sports business listings on the sports page as a widget, show only music business listings on the music page… etc.

Please help.

Hi vitaminlondon,

We don’t have a widget to do that, but we do have a shortcode: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/valid-bd-shortcodes-2-1/

We also have coming in the next release the ability to display multiple categories on a single page (3.3). I think you’ll want to use a shortcode here instead of the widget.

Thanks, that works in the widget section but is there a way to limit the number of listings on show?

If you’re talking about the short code, no–that parameter isn’t available. The widget should have that setting, though.
