Have you tried:
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress 3.3.2.

Thanks Esmi for your reply. I have switched to the most current 2011 theme available and got the same thing when saving widgets or trying to.
I have deactivated all my plugins and it didn’t seem to help, but I will try your methods. I was wondering if something was stuck in the db somewhere
will try the reinstall of 3.3.2 also. I was wondering if 3.4 would fix this but I’m not sure I want to try that yet…
Thanks again.

In my experience, it’s unlikely that an upgrade would correct this problem.

OK the plugins solution didn’t work. At least through ftp.
I had an idea that since I edit my .htaccess file a lot, maybe I should try a blank one to see if that fixes things. It did.
So I have to go through my file and see what was causing the errors. I’m sure I have a rule that’s either not complete, wrong, or duplication.
Thanks for your help… I’ll post what is causing the trouble.

figured it out. I had a redirect on admin ajax script .php because my logs were showing some unwarranted traffic to the files. I was redirecting that url to my home page. Duh.
is there another way to block people from trying to access ‘wp-admin/admin-ajax.php’
Thanks again!
