Widget Placement (5 posts)

    Hello,

I've got a relatively new site up. I didn't give much thought to the whole of the site, was just trying to get one task done and go to the next. But my widget is located in an odd place--at the bottom of the HOME page. I don't want it there. I want it up and at the right side. Can anybody direct me on how to do that?

I can find the Widgets fine. I just need to know how to place it up to the right. Thanks.

    Mike

Widgets can only be placed inside Widgetized regions of your theme. What theme are you using?

Shane, thank you. 2011 is the theme.

As far as I'm aware, Twenty Eleven only supports widgets in the sidebar. You might need to look at creating a child theme and create a new widget area with a bit of PHP code.

Alternatively, you could try this Twenty Eleven child theme that has header widgets built in.

I'll check it out. Appreciate the direction, Shane.
