• I installed Widget Logic and was trying to get my Event Calendar to show only on my home page called finegan.duvalschools.org

I tried the is_home() but it did not work. I thought that I needed to put the web address in the parentheses, but now I only get a white screen when I try to go to the site or log into wp-admin to make changes. Basically I have lost my website. What do I do? What should I enter to only show a widget on my home page that is not called “home”?

  • I get a “HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error” when I try a simple connection to your site. It’s not flagged up anywhere visible, which is unhelpful of your host, but it is there -and it implies there’s a host configuration problem with your IIS or PHP. something’s out of whack.

Assuming you can get back into your WP admin to clear that logic out, check in with the FAQ

which makes the distinction between is_front_page() and is_home() as clear as I think it can be. That might sort you out.
