widget getting stripped…javascript issue maybe?

    I’m going absolutely insane!!!

    I keep pasting code into a text widget in my sidebar, and it’s getting stripped down or something. I’ve posted to same code into a post and it shows perfectly. When I post in a javascript widget and hit preview, it shows properly…so I have surmised that the code is good, but something is getting stripped, because it only shows the “Alt text” instead of images and all. Here is the page where you will see the full code displayed properly in the content section, and on the sidebar the alternate:
