Widget Context update 0.8 not working with cforms widget

    Hi,

    I have been using version 0.7.2 for a short while now. In addition I am using the cforms II plugin (very popular form plugin). The Widget Context options displayed and worked fine in this version.

    However, I have updated to version 0.8 this morning and this update now doesn’t support the cforms widgets. The Widget Context options do not show for these widgets only.

    Is there a reason why? Can this be fixed please? If so, how long do you think it will take?

    In the meantime, is there an easy way to revert back to the old 0.7.2 version?

    I am using this plugin on a clients site that has launched this week and he has concerns right now as with the Widget Context not working it’s repeating a ‘Contact Us’ form on all pages, and in some cases twice. Doesn’t reflect well on myself.

    Could you please post some screenshots with ” this update now doesn’t support the cforms widgets”.

    The latest version of Widget Context got rid of legacy way for adding widget controls in favor of the in_widget_form filter which has been available since 2.8 and should be used by most plugins by now.

    I’ll be honest, I’m fairly new to using WordPress, as I tend to code most of my sites from scratch. Could you elaborate on the above please for a newbie, in particular the ‘legacy’ and in_widget_form filter. I’d appreciate it very much. I trust you are familiar with cforms II? Would you know what they use, perhaps I need to pose the question to them. But need to know what I’m talking about first.

    How do you post screenshots on here. Can I just link to a pic hosting site like Photobucket?

    Should be fixed now in 0.8.1.

    Hey Kaspar,

    Thanks for adding this to the update. Getting there, but still not quite working 100%.

    Following the update the widget context settings now show in a cforms II widget on the sidebar area. But if I add any settings such as front page or target by URL (I’ve tried most of them that I can with my site), they simply don’t work. I click save, then check the site out, it hasn’t worked. Then go back into the widgets admin area and open the dropdown for the cforms II widget and the settings I have input have all cleared.

    Any clue what’s up with this now? Really appreciating the help and support so far though, so thanks.
