• Hello,

A blog I’m been working on has the aforementioned issue – the header image only loads once several post images pop-in – and I’m trying to figure out why that is.

The header image is loaded up in the media library, just like all other content, and linked as background-image in the appropriate style.

Any ideas what would cause images in individual posts load before the header?

  • Well, the header image is presumably being loaded via the CSS – which might load after the page markup (which contains the other images).

How would I go about changing the order, though?

Is it possible to somehow embed the header image the same way as the post content? (forgoing styles, I guess?)

The only thing I’ve been able to make sure of is that it’s not a matter of image size (the header’s tiny: around 10kb). It’s just that the images in the posts seem to load before it, for some reason. Once its turn comes around, it pops in instantaneously…

It may be in the css. @gradeahack: please put the info in one post in the future; two posts removes this from no replies, but more makes people think its resolved.
