Why won’t thumbnails appear in categories anymore?

    I had successfully added an image to a single category by simply inserting a line of HTML using <img>. With the latest WP udpate the image no longer displays. I installed the plugin “Category Images II”, it has image tool in the Categories. When I uploaded the image using the tool, the image still does not appear. A

    Does anyone know what WordPress did to disable this, and how to get around it?
