I am very puzzled about the removal of my post on the Miscellaneous forum, ("Web wizard wanted by Pursuit-of-Happiness.org") which requested the volunteer services of a CSS expert to assist the work of a non profit organization. The forum guidelines state that posts about PAID positions are not acceptable, but the post in question clearly stated that the post involved volunteer work.
I would very much like to know the official position on this, so that if necessary I can rephrase the post accordingly.
The purpose of the forums here is primarily to offer support to users, which they recieve and act on in the forums. It's not a place to advertise for or solicite work, paid or otherwise.
If you have a need, then please consider posting a "New Job Request" [1] to have a professional work with you, or consider joining and soliciting professional assistance from the mailing list [2]. I'm sure some of the folk will be willing to help out on a volunteer basis.
