   Hello,
   I just uploaded few files for the visitors of the site.
   But it seems that only admin can access them.
   When a norma visitor tries to access my process engg. related files they get following message:
   "Sorry, no posts matched your criteria."

   I've not made any major changes in configuration settings as such.
   I tried to look whether there's permission or access configuration options available, but it's not there... or is it there but I missed it?

   Did you put the files you want accessible to the public in the public html folder?

   How did you code the link to the files?

   I changed uploads folder location from "/wp-content/uploads/" to simply "/uploads"

   The files can be downloaded if you type domain.com/uploads/ but thats not the proper way. it should show 'post theme' of wp.

   where in WP has permissions settings?

   Actually I had to 'insert the media files' instead I typed url. & it worked. I shouldn't have been that way. but thats the way it is, you have to insert a media file and then you'll get option of posting 'link file' or 'link post' If you select former file will start downloading directly. & for the latter you'll see file description page.

   Problem is resolved.
