• I have a feeling the #1 use case for a plugin like this is when importing posts from another site and trying to pull in their images.

The plugin does work for me in the sense that I can go into each post and hit the Update button, thus importing external images. But why do I have to do this for 150 or however many posts I may be importing? Why not have a link in Tools to “Scan for and import external images”?

  • You simply may go to “All posts” select posts > bulk action > edit > update. All selected posts will be updated with local images.

Before you do it for many posts, try on few “test” posts, on some installations it works fine, on some a little funky. For example on one of my single blogs it works with no problem, on MU installation at first click on “Update” for multiple posts plugin return error, on second click works correctly. I don’t know why it works so.
