• I ha donly installed the TinyMCE Advanced plugin for WordPress, but now it also has an entry in my Widnws Start Menu. Since when have WP plugins started installing o peoples’ computers?

    The target for thsi entry in “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe –app=http://www.laptoptips.ca/projects/tinymce-advanced/”

    iTB SEEMS TO HAVE ATTACEHD ITSELF TO CHROME.EXE SO i CAN’T DELETE IT.

    Appreciate any help.

    I removed the “–app=http://www.laptoptips.ca/projects/tinymce-advanced/” at the end of the target field. Curious to know how it got there in the first place?

    First time I hear of this and it has nothing to do with the plugin code. Are you using any Chrome extensions that may be doing that? Or perhaps you dragged the URL field from the browser to the windows start menu while you were on the plugin’s page?

    Yes, Andrew this is weird, I just finished doing a fresh install of Windows 7 else would have given you remote access. But if it comes back again, I’ll surely let you know.
