Why is my recent posts widget only 5 px wide? (5 posts)

When I try and use the tag cloud widget, the widget below it in the sidebar gets messed up. If you look at my site now, you can see the recent posts widget is only 5 px wide. Without the tag widget, it takes up the full sidebar width, as it should.

    What's going on?

maybe one of those errors is the cause:

there is no point to check anything else while your site has so many validation errors.

have you edited the theme, and does the unedited theme have the same problems?

please contact the theme's developer for support.

I'm sorry but that's not helpful, alchymyth. I'm asking about a specific problem here. Almost all websites have errors and warnings. Heck, wordpress.org has got 11 errors and 2 warnings. QuickSprout has got 48 errors and 18 warnings, TechRadar has got 126 errors and 8 warnings (worse than mine).

You don't have to be sorry to us, we're not disadvantaged by this.

quoting other sites with validation errors does not prove anything - do these sites have display problems?

have you tested an unedited orignal version of your theme?

do you get the same problem?

btw: this forum only supports themes from http://wordpress.org/themes/
so trying to get support from the developer of your theme is a very valid suggestion.
