Hi,
When I visit my blog at http://www.xyz.com wordpress changes the address bar to http://xyz.com (losing the www.) - why does it do this? How can I stop it doing it? I know it makes no difference but would like to keep it anyway!
Cheers

If I am not wrong WordPress (WP 2.2) does not do that, it maybe your host that does that.
I think he's on Godaddy.com. I'm not sure if they do that redirecting automatically or not. I know Dreamhost.com does it. But yeah, it sounds more like a host issue than a WordPress issue. Unless you put special redirects in your .htaccess file? Good luck!
hmm DH does not do it without you explicitly setting it.
Hi folks,
I am using wp2.2 and not with either of those two hosts. Very strange - any more ideas?

Going back to your original question:
If you visit Options -> General, what do you have specified for the two URL values? Do those values have the www or not?
Hi HandySolo,
Yep - checked that - they both have www. in
I also checked my .htaccess and that's empty too :(
contact your host about it.
Thanks GamerZ - I am the host! and I've never seen this before.
any plugins that you install?
