Why does my WP site not show on google?

I’ve been wondering why my WP blogs have such difficulty showing up on google?

I’ve got everything set-up, from SEO keywords to links and so on. When I create a traditional website from scratch (which takes forever) they quickly come up on google searches and start gaining a lot of hits.

But not when I create a WP site (on its own hosting and domain)… it’s almost as if search engines block them unless no other searches come up and only then do they show, or if you know the exact web address which is not very useful for gaining hits. Consequently I have barely any hits on my WP sites while my traditional site gets from 75k-100k per month and ranks very high in google. I love WP and it really speeds up my web design work so I prefer doing WP, but not if I have such difficulty getting hits…

I don’t understand why this is happening. Any clues?

Ok, I did a http://ismyblogworking.com search and the following information comes up:

# Your web server is working fine.
# Your RSS feed is available.
# Your robots.txt file is valid and allows search engines to index your content.
# Your blog is not indexed by Google.
# Your blog is indexed by Bing (3 results).
# Your blog is a self-hosted WordPress blog.

Now, why would it NOT get indexed by google?? I even got the SEO plugins for better SEO results, used Google Webmaster Tools, etc.

This is not the only WP blog that does not show in google. All of them seem to get ignored by google, except the google blog section… but that doesn’t help me if I want higher site ranking.

Hi, why not try setting up xml sitemaps I find it very responsive.

I wonder if you could take a look at my site… I keep searching for my blog items and they don’t show up… my site is http://modernacoustic.com. I believe I have the SEO set up correctly, etc.

I looked at your website and searched for
site:http://modernacoustic.com/

shows the pages google has indexed you have page rank on 4
I see that you have
315 pages indexed in google
11 pages on Bing
65 pages on yahoo
