[resolved] Why does the Mystique header image resize with window? (5 posts)

    If you resize your browser window while viewing http://www.heathallyn.com, the header background image resizes with the window, while the content does not. The problem with this is that black starts creeping in from the right edge. When maximized, the header background fills the entire width but as your window gets smaller, the black on the right gets larger. Seem to me it would be better for the header background image to remain full width. Any odeas how to accomplish this?

    Hi there!

    It - the header image - actually doesn't resize.

    What it is doing is resituating itself so that the bulk of the 'design' is in the middle of your screen.

    This is an attempt by the theme author I am guessing to keep that part of the layout 'fluid' to accommodate screen size changes.

    To keep it fixed rather than fluid would involve altering the coding that is calling for the block with the header image to go fluid to stay fixed.

    EDIT: Sorry for posting the same thing right after you, esmi! :-X!

    Ah, finally fixed it by adding the "min-width" attribute in:
    #page{background:transparent url(images/header.jpg) no-repeat center top; min-width: 940px;

    Since my layout is a fixed width.
