Why does my site banner and adds only appear on home page? (2 posts)

I went into PRESENTATION > THEME EDITOR > and edited MAIN INDEX file to add my custom banner and google ads into my home page. If someone clicks on one of my posts (from google or from my home page) it doesn't load my google ads nor my custom banner on the post page only on my home page.

Here's what it looks like on a single post page:
    http://www.bandsthatjam.net/uncategorized/allman-brothers-band-tour-dates-announced

Here's what I would like to have on each page:
    http://www.bandsthatjam.net

Does anyone know what I need to do to get my adds and banner from my MAIN INDEX file to show up on my post pages as well?

    Thanks in advance,
    Pete

Whatever template file is being used to display your category archive may not be 'calling' the header.

For instance, the WordPress Default 1.6 theme has <?php get_header(); ?> at the top of wp-content/themes/default/archives.php.
