Why does my blog address redirect to another URL?

Hi, I just recently installed WordPress onto my hosting account. I edited the following details as Admin:
WordPress address (URL) — http://www.mydomain.com/blog
Blog address (URL) — http://www.mydomain.com/blog
Now, when I go to http://www.mydomain.com/blog it redirects to: http://www.mydomain.com/mydomain/blog
I want it to just be http://www.mydomain.com/blog.
What’s going on and how can we fix it? Thanks.
