• As is suggested in many places, to place code for my first Adsense Ad, I created a text widget. Google then informed me that they were rejecting my application due to “insufficient content”.

I have 371 post created over the course of 2 years. How can that be insufficient? Should I be putting my code somewhere else? I see that there are suggestions about a plugin Google created for WordPress, and so forth.

I should also say that I am fairly html-ignorant. But I can follow a tutorial (with a certain amount of stress, and my software-savvy wife looking over my shoulder).

And here is my website: http://dairyfreetraveler.com

Your code is in the right place, it just has to be somewhere on your site.

We aren’t affiliated with Google, so we really can’t help with why they denied you. All I can suggest is that while 371 posts over 2 years sounds sufficient to me, maybe the type of content wasn’t sufficient for Google (though I don’t see any problem there either). It’s hard to say for sure.

I’d recommend getting in touch with Google, they should have some sort of appeals system in place.

Thanks for your quick response, macmanx! It is gratifying to know that I “did it right” since that kind of technical stuff is not my strong suit. I will try and get an answer out of Google as to what I would need to do to get an approval, to not appear so “insufficient” to them. I was thinking that maybe they wanted to see me placing their ad block in the middle of the page where it will get more hits.

I will let you know what Google’s response to my query is. Thanks again for your answer.

    You’re welcome!

Please let us know how it goes!

The truth of the matter is that Google uses adsense approval bot to approval applications. They have grown to the extent that they cannot manually approve all application. The bot crawls your website to understand its content and other factors and then score it thereafter.

The bot look for keywords to determine if they have ads to serve, etc.
So you can have 30,000 post and you will still get a message “insufficient content”

There are some adsense approval services around(google it or go fiver) -They have had several adsense application denials and so they have finally studied how the bot works.

    they are damm good!

Mark thanks for the information… My blogs is also denied several times when I tried for Adsense

I too facing the same problem pls help me…I have written min 3 post in all my tags and category but still Google says “Insufficient contents”

Please help me to get a way. Please help
