About 2-3 months ago Akismet began failing to stop a huge volume of spam coming to my site. Almost overnight it went from stopping virtually everything to my having to manually filter approx. 30 spam comments every day. The plugin does still stop spam, so it's working at least marginally. I e mailed Akismet & they had nothing to offer.
In fact, my host has written me that a large volume of comment spam is reaching their servers. This means Akismet isn't working properly (I think).
Can anyone think of anything in my installation that might be preventing Akismet from working properly. Any plugin conflict?
Also, are there any other anti spam plugins that might supplement Akismet that you'd recommend?
