The spammers? I think there needs to be a hit list on these people.
Anyway, I have been looking for it but I cannot find it-
Someone posted a way to block the people who are doing p#$lm e#3lk etc to post.
    Help?

Podz page (macmanx' link above) really helped me.
i also happily use a few other things too.
WPBlacklist is wonderful. The best thing about Blacklist is that you can ban by various methods (because obviously IP doesn't work) and you can update the blacklist.txt file regularly to keep up with the bs.
when i notice someone sneaking through, i update my common spam words, and update the blacklist. if the new squeaker isn't on the new list, i can always add it manually.

    Well,
No. Still getting spam. I would say that 93% is getting caught now but still annoying.

^^ Thank you, I see that. I have several of those things installed. None of them are 100% effective alone or in conjunction.
So, who's with me for a "Spammer Hunt"? Its kind of like a snipe hunt, but you really get to beat the hell out of people.

  8. Tek, you better not be talking about DOS.
"The problem with DoS attacks is that most spammers run though a proxy server. Whether that's an anonymous proxy server or a proxy server run by a major ISP, if you DoS an individual whom you assume is a spammer, you will knock out the entire proxy server, disabling several users or possibly an entire ISP. And, if you knock out an ISP, you will be sued.
Other than that, it's just plain wrong too." ~ Me
"Not to mention illegal and punishable under criminal law." ~ TechGnome
"DoS attacks aren't a solution, and any discussion of them shouldn't take place here." ~ Podz

Who is talking about a DOS? Stop nerding about for a bit!! Jay-sus! HAHA!
I'm talking about good old fashioned canes and spanking the hell out of them.
It is far more satisfying to hears the sound of smacking flesh than to DOS someone.
    DOS... LMAO!!
    NO!
