To comment on my blog an email address is 'required'. But spammers always comment random stuff on OLD entries and they never put an email, why do they get through?
It's really annoying as the comments don't go through moderation so I have to just delete them and I can't block them either.
Everytime there's a new version of WP I think that this will be resolved but it's not and why does it seem to just be me affected?
How can this be resolved? Why/How can people get through without putting an Email address (I have checked my options and that is the requirement for commenters and always has been)?
Im guessing theyre not comments. I just tried to send a remote comment to your blog from my domain and wasnt able to do so w/o putting in an email address.
its on your first post, btw, the "remote comment" one. Scripted comments are the bomb :)
^ I saw it...but I still don't understand :/
Hadiya,
what im saying is I couldnt leave a comment without putting an email in also.
What you think were comments were probably trackbacks, since trackbacks dont require an email (ever).
Yup, I'd agree. Most likely trackback spam.
