• On one server for Melodiefabriek.nl I am using chmod 755 and I can change the templates in a webbrowser.

On a new account (different ISP) for Marcoraaphorst.nl I need to use 757 to be able to change the template in my browser.

htaccess files look normal to me, nothing special.

    Can anyone help me please?

I think you will have to ask your hosting provider about that. CHMOD 755 should work, unless your hosting provider has set some special restriction on their end. You could try CHMOD 666, but if 755 doesn’t work, then I doubt that will either.

thanks 666 doesn’t work. I don’t understand why it works on other machines. 666 lacks execution and if I don’t allow this on my server I get script errors.

my isp told me there’s nothing to worry about. every website is running in it’s own ‘part’ so I could even use 777 they told me. they are hosting the php based Pivot weblogsystem here in Holland. so I guess they know what they are talking about.
