i've had no prob uploading images before. but suddenly, any image i upload is defaulted to Thumbnail size, and clicking on medium or large has no effect. it's like any other size is blocked. any suggestions?

Have you tried:
- deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
- switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Posted 7 months ago #i'm a novice here and your suggestions are a bit over my head. what i can say is that i've only installed 1 plugin, and it's been there for a long time--since before this problem cropped up. do plugins get corrupted? also, would there be plugins other than the one i installed?

Yes - that possible. It's also possible that the plugin in not compatible with your version of WordPress.

Try looking in Plugins -> Inactive Plugins
