URL? Version of WP?
So when you add an image, you cannot click on it with handles showing up? Or do you mean something else?
The image uploader... it won't let me change the image size to small, medium, or large. It only allows full size.
version 2.7
Go to dashboard, settings, media and put in the max sizes you want for images. If these are set to zero, the option to change size in the uploader is greyed out.
BTW, your site has a few minor errors you might want to fix. See http://validator.w3.org/.
I am experiencing the same issues and my media sizes are:
Thumbnail 150x150
Medium 300x300
Large 1024x1024
using wp 2.7
svsdnb Can I have your URL?
What plugins are you using? Have you tried disabling any plugins?
site is not "live" at the moment. only internal users can hit the url.
The only plugin installed is the Multi-level Navigation Plugin 1.0.8
svsdnb Are the size options greyed out or just not there?
Will it actually let you put the full size photo in?
You might find this helpful . . .

I have the radio option of FULL SIZE but all others are greyed out. I checked out that link but nothing in there has worked for me. I'm still without the use of image resizing. I can just give the image parameters manually but it's nice to have the option to do so with a single click.
What is the size of the image you're trying to resize?
Also, does your server have gd or imagemagik installed?
Also, does your server have gd or imagemagik installed?
AHHHHHHHHH neither!
are these specifically for WP?
If you want to resize images, you need something on your server to be able to actually do that. Neither of these are specific to WP, mind you.
I admit, the little note on the codex about Resizing images is a little helpless. But basically yes, you need some image handler on your server to do that.
Edit: I have both on my server, but I prefer ImageMagick
I'll give this a try.
thank you!
YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just assumed when they built the server for me that there was a graphics library. It works fine now!
Thank you!!
It's a logical assumption! 99.99999% of webhosts include PHP, SQL and some graphics library.
Hi. I have this problem, and I'm afraid I don't understand about ImageMagick.
I've been trying to insert images for the past 2 hours?
Should I just use blogspot instead...?!
Please help.
Tim
Contact your hosting provider and ask if gd or imagemagik are installed on your server. These are standard PHP functions/tools that WordPress uses to resize images.
OK. Thanks. I'll see what they say.
They've told me GD2 library is already installed on the server. Any other ideas...?
What happens exactly when you try to upload images?
I have timturner problem too !
My host provider said me both of Image Magic and GD are installed but I can't use Resize radio buttons yet !
When I upload a photo in wordpress only I can use the Original size of that and other options ( Thumbnail , Small , etc. ) are gray and deactive ...
How can I fix this problem ?
