Why are you promoting http://www.pagelines.com/pricing/ on http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/commercial/
while they say in their site:
Can I use PageLines on more than one site?
If you own the PageLines Professional Edition you can use it on multiple sites owned by you or your organization.If you own the PageLines Developer Edition you can use it to build an unlimited number of sites for yourself or for others.
this is contrary to GPL...so can someone explain it ?

That looks a little ambiguous to me but IANAL. Ask them to clarify that via their contact form.
I suspect that they should have added something like "If you DO use it on more than one site we'll not support you and your node will fall off. Hurt feelings will abound, so there. Neener Neener."
But again ask them.

I've been trying to get a definitive answer for you "behind the scenes". In the end, the folks over at PageLines were contacted & asked if they could clarify the text on their site that you mentioned above. Hence their response. I hope that clarifies the GPL issue that you raised.

no its not, it is even more confused now, as you see they are saying that its not gpl, but they are saying that it is http://www.pagelines.com/terms-of-service/
2.1PageLines hereby grants to you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license toinstall and use the PageLines Framework on your computer. The PageLines Framework islicensed under the GNU License. If you copy, distribute or modify the PageLines Framework,you must do so in compliance with the terms and condition of the GNU License

I can explaint it to myself only in this simple way:
pagelines is gpl but they are making as much confusion as they can to have more money.

so its almost clear that they point can be (for MY UNDERSTANDING):
CREATE CONFUSION and COLLECT MONEY.
This is almost like:
"the thing is black but it is white, but if statement that it is white is not correct and in harmony with statement that it is black, then it is black".

The Framework is completely and 100% GPL.. So you guys don't need to worry about that. (Regarding the copyright, GPL does require that the copyright be left in tact.)
When someone purchases a 'license' through us they are also getting access to other services like technical support, updates, free extensions, etc.. so there may be some differences here.
Anyway, we definitely *not* trying to confuse you. Can you help me understand more about where the misconception is? How else can we clarify?

I'm not sure you completely understand the terms of the GPL. Please note Clause 1 from GPLv2 [emphasis added]:
You may copy and distribute verbatim copies of the Program's source code as you receive it, in any medium, provided that you conspicuously and appropriately publish on each copy an appropriate copyright notice and disclaimer of warranty; keep intact all the notices that refer to this License and to the absence of any warranty; and give any other recipients of the Program a copy of this License along with the Program.
Note that "copyright/license notice" does not equal "credit link". Note also that the PageLines license terms require retention of the former (as per the terms of the license), not the latter.

@Chip yeah i am not sure, i am not talking about distribution....if i will distribute it later maybe, this is ok to leave credit link....but point 2.2 - as i copied and pasted, says anything about distribution ? I dont think so, i think that they added this point 2.2 in general while your clausele 1 text says specifically about distribution which is not action which i was describing....

So this person JENNY says that license is different. As you can see above.
I was talking about GPL...so she/he/but probably she/ was referring to GPL too.
So different than GPL = NOT GPL.
So now,
2.You, and terms on pagelines page clearly says that it is 100% GPL.
So tell me how NOT to BE confused while license on product page and person from product(you) tells something entirely different than another person from THE SAME company ?
And while i was asking about it more deeply i received another mail:

And what about points 2.2. - where you not CLEARLY state that this point is about distribution ?
Or what about point 2.5 of terms ? point 2.5 looks like protection from badly written license because it says that if any point of license is not correct with gpl, so then gpl apply...this has the same sense as:
MYLICENSE version 1.1
a)This product is GPL.
b)But you can not use it as GPL.
But if point b) is not in harmony with point a) then point a) is important and point b) is not...
Is this not a way to confuse people ?
