• Hello all,

    First time poster, new WordPress user. I have a few problems that have recently begun

    to pop up. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you in advance.

    I am not sure if these are WordPress errors or a problem with my hosting company,

    Globat.com. I’m sending them an email about these issues as well.

    This happens on my site, http://www.chemicalshift.com/ , and my wife’s site,

    http://www.blessedblogger.com/ , as well. Both sites are hosted through the same

    company, not on the same account though.

    * Themes Disappearing

    – I don’t remember this happening to me in 1.5.1.2, but after upgrading to 1.5.1.3,

    sometimes when I update my theme files I get an error message saying the theme can not

    be found.

    – To resolve it, I sometimes have to re-upload the theme files into the appropriate

    directory.

    * Intrasite Links Disappearing

    – When updating pages, sometimes the pages will update fine without errors, but when I

    try to check them when navigating through my site, I get 404 Not Found.

    – The problem seems intermittent. I’m not sure if it resolves itself on it’s own at

    my host’s end. I have tried to fix it by adjusting settings through the Site

    Administration panels.

    – I think the intrasite links might be repaired by updating the Permalink Structure.

    It appears to work sometimes, but not always.

    This is getting to be a nuisance. Again, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Sean Clancy

  • This sounds very much like a flaky host and if so, the only remedy is to move hosts. Does the hosting company have any support forums where you could check the experience of others ?
