Why are my galleries not opening up in a lightbox?

    i think there is a conflict between the NEXTGEN gallery plugin and the theme. I tried to switch to another theme and the images opens in a lightbox correctly

    Yes, same problem here since 3.1.4 update.

    The gallery pages fail to display the admin bar and the footer of the page w/Customizr theme. Page stops rendering @ the pagination code from nextgen. I’ve disabled all plugins to no avail. hmmm.

    ok reverting back to 3014 fixed it, I’ll have to find versions between that and 315 to try.

    Okay guys, I’ve done some workaround…
    You can install NextCellent Gallery – NextGEN Legacy plugin, it is almost identical. Just copy custom css (if you have any) and disable previous NextGEN plugin. Put new shorcode on gallery page and that’s it. Hope that helps.

    But it seems that lightbox working only if you set ‘shutter’ in effects panel. Guess it’s not too hard to add a custom lightbox…
